1. What’s The Big BBQ all about?

The Big BBQ is a one day summer festival combining BBQ competitions and top-class food with live music and family fun.

We have brought together amazing food, drink and stalls from the UK’s best BBQ outlets for you to try across the site while listening to live sets from some of the best UK bands.

2. When?

23rd of June 2012 from 10:30am until 23:00pm.

3. How much is it?

The Big BBQ costs £10 in advance (£15 on the door) for adults and free for under 10's.

Food, drink and some entertainment inside will have small costs, but this is a family event and we will make sure all prices are kept fair.

4. Can I bring my own food and drink?

The Big BBQ is a BBQ and food experience with lots of delicious food and drink on site to buy. It’s not a BYO festival so you won’t be able to bring your own food or drink.

5. Can I bring my dog?

As much as we love dogs, things would get a little chaotic if every man and his dog came along. So we’ve decided the men (and women and children) can come but the dogs must stay at home. Guide dogs are, of course, welcome.

6. Is there overnight camping?

You’ll be glad to know this festival isn’t about roughing it. Overnight camping is not allowed so you can take yourselves home and sleep in the comfort of your own bed.

7. Is this a child-friendly festival?

The Big BBQ is for everyone, big and small. Children are welcome and there’ll be plenty of great stuff for them to do and see.

8. Is the site wheelchair-accessible?

The whole site is suitable for wheelchairs; it’s on flat ground and there are no steps. There will be disabled toilet facilities on-site.

9. Where’s the nearest cash point?

The nearest cash points are at Benfleet Station and Morrisons half a mile away each.

10. Will there be food for vegetarians/vegans?

Absolutely. You’ll find plenty of tasty food if you’re vegetarian or vegan.

11. I have a nut/dairy/seafood allergy (ie serious allergy), can I still come to the Festival?

All participating stalls at The Big BBQ will make every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies; however, there is always a risk of cross-contamination and those with allergies eat at their own risk.
